Skate-oko-asaurus

A lot of people make skateboards on Shapeokos.  I thought it would be fun to make a Skateboard specific version of a Shapeoko.

This one would be narrower and a lot longer with a roughly 10" x 44"-48" work area.  It would be easily portable with all electronics mounted on board and have it's own set of skateboard trucks to roll it around (or ride it?)

It would have a custom waste board to make clamping skateboard easy and have a few truck bolt patterns to make it easy to accurately locate the board and flip it to work on the other side.

It would have full three axis limit switches, Quiet Cut spindle, Z probe and a grAMPS controller.

The question is...can we build it in one night?

Is anyone interested?  Does anyone have any last minute design ideas.

Ideally, we would do it on Thursday, Oct 2nd.

Are you thinking of a Shapeoko1 or Shapeoko2? My SO1 (X axis default
size, Y axis 1m, second Y motor upgrade) doesn't get much attention
these days, so I might be up for parting with it a lot cheaper than a
new SO1 kit would cost.
