According to the Inventables site, this material prints much like PLA.

But how strong/robust is it?  Anybody with practical experience (not press release hype)?

I think replacing all the printed mod parts on my Printrbot with "wood" would be a worthwhile endeavor.  None of the parts would be heavily stressed, or exposed to high temperature.

It is strong, but not as strong as PLA.  I think your idea is cool.  I would start with a few of the easier parts.  I can give you some 1.75mm, but not 3mm.

I'm back to the 1.75mm extruder; the 3mm extruder is only used for the ridiculously fat nozzles.

What size nozzle is good for this?  I've read (on the Internet!) that clogging is an issue with nozzles smaller than .5mm.  Any tips regarding temperature, layer height , etc. ?  I'm not looking for the "wood grain" effect caused by different temperatures.

A couple of feet of the stuff would be great.  If I can print this little guy, and it doesn't break, I'll get a spool from my good friends at Inventables.

I'll bring the roll on Thursday.  You can borrow it for a while if you like.
