Smart City App Hack (SCAH) and FIWARE have just launched an online competition that will distribute up to 150,000€ in prizes for the best developers anywhere in the world using FIWARE or who desire to start using it.

This competition is a great professional and economic opportunity for developers, entrepreneurs, companies, and active citizens who have an app or a functional prototype and want to help boost their city as a Smart City. The projects must respond to one of the five challenges identified by SCAH: energy, mobility, collaboration, tourism, and shopping.

The competition is open to apps that have already integrated FIWARE as well as those who are not currently using the platform; the latter will have access to experts who will help with the integration process.

The prizes for the best FIWARE apps are impressive: the opportunity to join the FIWARE Accelerator Program (a process valued at 100K); 10K in prize money and global visibility during the Smart City Expo World Congress 2015 and the Mobile World Congress 2016.
