I saw that there was a GSoC proposal related to Quil in Clojurescript, but I don't know what its status is or if there are any fledgling versions of this idea in circulation yet.

Can anyone here fill me in?

The reason I'm asking is that I'll be teaching a course in the fall for which this could possibly be fantastically helpful... but it would have to exist in some form now, or at least very soon, so that I could use it to develop course materials over the summer. So a GSoC project that only produces something by the end of the summer would be wonderful for the future, but for my current purposes that would be too late.

Thanks for any info/pointers anyone can provide,

-Lee

Hi Lee

Yes, there are several applications this year in GSoC for Quil in ClojureScript. And very likely one of them will be accepted but it will be announced on April 21. Until I can't anything for sure. As for dates: all applicants are pretty optimistic about dates and plan to finish working on Quil in ClojureScript by mid summer (at least finish coding) and then work on documentation/tests/website dedicated to Quil. So I hope we'll have something which you can play with by the end of June.

But again I can't say anything for sure until we know the student who will be working on it. I'll ask him to post his this plans/updates on this mail group when he is selected.

Thanks,
Nikita
