A few months ago we launched our updated Climate Analysis Indicators Tool, CAIT 2.0, which provides free online access to global greenhouse gas emissions data and other climate-relevant indicators to enable analysis on a wide range of climate-related data questions.

Today I’m happy to announce the release of several new features in CAIT 2.0, which will take the platform to an even greater level of utility. Highlights include:

  • A streamlined and more intuitive interface, which provides easier access to information and expands CAIT 2.0 usability
  • A mapping visualization feature for countries and U.S. states (complementing the existing bar, line, and pie chart options)
  • Ability to download visualizations or share them via social media (complementing the existing embed feature)
  • Addition of regional groupings for countries and U.S. states, allowing for a whole new dimension of comparative analysis
  • Addition of location overview pages, showing at-a-glance all available data sets in CAIT 2.0 for a particular country, region, or U.S. state
  • Addition of a new data collection, namely the latest Annex I country-reported greenhouse gas emissions to the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

The CAIT team invites you to check out these and other enhancements at wri.org/project/cait, and send us your feedback which will help inform additional upgrades in the months ahead.

Sincerely,

Your CAIT team
