Data Scientists, Nonprofit Leaders, and Designers seeking teams to join

[Civic Data Challenge]

We're starting to get some responses to our Team Builder Survey from participants who are in search of a team. Think of this space as the Civic Data Challenge classifieds.

Right now we have participants who are seeking:

1. Data analyst with experience with Tableau and R. Open to all sorts of subjects/projects impacting Lakeland/Polk County
   
2. Civic coders, designers, investigative reporters and community organizers interested in open government and grassroots economic development. We're exposing Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts using data mining, graphic design and community education meetings.
3. Data scientist that can work on a business idea to create an enterprise solution.
   
4. I am looking for a team to join. I have strong SQL skills and am also a programmer/data analyst with Data Mining certification.
   
5. We are looking for a data scientist with experience in taxonomy, ontology, information architecture, data/ER modeling -- specifically, to help prototype the process of implementing an open source / adaptable taxonomy of social services for a 'community resource data commons.'
   
6. urban designer & planner seeking to collaborate with web + database developer to work on an app regarding job training programs and entrepreneurial startups in Chicago (same city please). other potential projects may focus on food access, a better workplace, and community potential.
   
7. Urban Planner in Riverside California seeking team members with graphic design, GIS, statistics and on-line visualization to explore how the data challenge can support the basis for developing an app that can be used for community organizers to understand land use planning and empower the communities they represent through civic participation and community engagement.

8. Looking to be a part of a team in the Milwaukee, WI area. Strong project management skills and view of national philanthropic and nonprofit sector trends.

9. Looking for creative talent who can help us turn community based data on hunger, poverty, and education into interactive infographics. Infographics will be used to capture the attention and spur action among thousands of young people in our region. Project timeline: July 8 - 28.
