NYC CitiBike - health impacts?

Dear everyone,

I am new to this community and an aspiring data nerd; does anyone know if citibike share data has been linked to any other NYC data sets? For example, socioeconomic status of bicycle stations? or the rollout of more "bike friendly" street designs?

I would be grateful for any advice!

Lori, that sounds like a good question. I know the Rudin center has done some analysis. You might also want to rase this question on BetaNYC's general discussion list. I think you'll find a few others interested in such a map.

You could check out datasets here: https://nycopendata.socrata.com/

Just a simple overlay of Citi Bike stations on census tracts shows that, for example, the service area has expanded to include neighborhoods with lower medium household income (MHI).
