Anyone have some scraps of red fabric? Something solid, not sheer? I'd appreciate it...

1-2 yards. Doesn't need to be wider than 12" or so.

Ah. That's more than I have, sorry.

If you just need something solid and cheap, you can get a red broadcloth at a store and use a %40 or %50 coupon (they are almost always available at Jo Ann's or Hobby Lobby). It should only be $2-4 per yard, without a coupon.

Hancock's is also sadly going out of business, so you might be able to snag good deals there, too.
