So after feeling awesome about the strut upgrade we did on the big laser, we now know that the laser head is hitting the strut mounts.
Until we get the strut mounts reconfigured, try not to bring the carriage past the edge of the new strut mounts.
Basically, we shouldn’t use the last 12” or so of the Y travel and the far edges of the X travel.
The carriage has become offset (X is no longer perpendicular to Y), so we need to square up the carriage.
There is also some misalignment of the beam that has happened (probably from hitting the strut mount), so you might have to adjust the power of the beam.
Just use your head when you use the laser. 😀
Good times.
