I want to give a big thanks to everyone here, this has involved a
ridiculous amount of work and wasn't easy at all. For some reason it
feels like this release was even harder than before, but perhaps
that's just because I forget how hard 1.0 was ... and 1.1 ...

Anyway, this has to be the last time we do a release of this size all
in one go. A year between releases is much too long and much too
painful for everyone involved. For the next year we'll do little,
compatible, releases every time we have something with enough new
things in it to be worth releasing. And *disruptive* changes (a) will
be made in branches, and (b) will never block smaller things from
being released. Anyway we don't have any disruptive change planned
until the javac migration.

With the release out, we need to schedule a face to face meeting ASAP.
It's very important. And we have to figure out how we can get as many
of the folks here to the meeting, including the folks who aren't RH
employees. Also Stef and I need to get back on the road and do that
long-promised west coast tour.

Finally, it seems to me that the release has been a big success, with
*many* thousands of people visiting our website over the last couple
of days, and a whole lot of positive feedback. It's clear that there
are a whole lot of folks out there who even if they're not using
Ceylon ever day just yet, really want to see the project succeed.
