This Monday, December 5th, starting at 10:00 UTC, we will perform
maintenance on ct.googleapis.com/rocketeer. The goal of maintenance is
to improve both the performance and reliability of this log.

During the maintenance window the log will be in a read-only mode and
as such it will not be possible to make add-chain or add-pre-chain
calls.

We expect the maintenance period to last between 6 and 10 hours.
During this time we recommend you use ct.googleapis.com/aviator or
ct.googleapis.com/pilot for logging.

In accordance with the Chrome Log Policy we measure availability in a
90 day moving window. At this time, Rocketeer's current observed
availability is 99.9922%. We expect that even with this maintenance
window the log will be well within the policy's allowed unavailability
(a bit over 21 hours before Rocketeer would be found in breach of the
policy).

As with Pilot's maintenance a few months ago, we realize that knowing
Rocketeer's current and historic availability makes it easier to plan
maintenance, but we're happy to provide details upon request to any
log operators to assist in their operations planning.

Hi Pierre. Err...Aviator? On December 5th?

A few days ago Ryan Sleevi wrote:
"Aviator will shut down on December 1st. That will affect the ability
to issue SCTs entirely."

Did you mean to write "This Monday, November 28th" ?

Ah, no, my bad, I meant to refer to "all our other still operational
logs", so Skydiver and Icarus would be better alternative than the
soon to be deprecated Aviator, indeed!

During the Rocketeer maintenance on Dec 5, is Pilot not the only Google log available from which to obtain a SCT to satisfy the current Chrome CT policy?
Both Aviator and Rocketeer will be read-only, and Icarus and Skydiver are pending Chrome inclusion.

As pointed out, this would have left only Pilot usable during the
Rocketeer maintenance. We will be postponing this maintenance, to
avoid this problem (date to be announced).

Skydiver and Icarus have been accepted, and will be included in Chrome
shortly, if all goes according to plan, so CAs should probably add
them to their systems as soon as possible, for maximum reliability.
