DOM Manipulation

Are there any plans to provide DOM manipulation of some sorts?  The Javascript binding tends to have many problems and I find myself actively fighting against it, I do manual HTML / file manipulation outside of the browser and then target the WebView at a manipulated file.  This is really killing any benefit over the generic Web Browser control in my opinion.
