I have the opportunity to be currently attending EDUCAUSE and was incredibly disappointed to only find only 1 OER presentation by Lumen in the entire schedule. Looks like we all need to stage an invasion of presentation’s for next year.

I realized my word choice might be confusing. Lumen is the only OER presentation in the entire EDCUASE schedule.
Yikes! We can do better next year. Have to keep an eye out for the call for proposals, it's typically in January or so for the November conference. Tricky that way.
Hello Open Friends & Colleagues,
With the Educause annual conference in Philly just about a week away, David, Scott, and I just want to remind you that our Openness Constituent Group meeting is scheduled on Thursday afternoon, November 02, from 4:30pm - 5:20pm ET in Meeting Room 203B, 200 Level. Scott will be hosting in person. Please note that even if you are not able to join in person, we will be coordinating a video conference as well. Scott will be providing details soon and an update on the agenda. One of the topics on the agenda is discussion and feedback on a draft proposal concerning involvement of small non-profits at Educause exhibit hall. Please feel free to check out the draft proposal, make comments on the proposal or just join the conversation at the Openness CG.

I presented on OER at Educause in 2015 and had 6 people come to my session. Educause is a very large conference, but it is really more of a trade show for instructional technology and IT enterprise solutions than an academic conference in my experience. That said, I would hope for more OER to be featured at Educause as it is a good platform for promoting innovative tools and practices.

Hi all,
I presented on OER at Educause way back in 2010 and had a decent turn-out, but I agree with Preston’s observation that it’s really a trade show. Also, I agree that it would be good to have more of an OER presence at Educause, and this might be an opportunity to collaborate with other parts of the Open community that are there. That said, I stopped going years ago due to the very high cost of registration.
Thanks,
James
