Do we have a consolidated list of what computers (and possibly as spec listing) and hardware/equipment that is open for CCCKC use (and/or CCCKC owned) at the space?  Do we know what condition everything is in?

The reason for asking is I am curious if we have assets in need of a tuneup or assets that aren't in working order that need repairs/replacement parts.

That was the reason behind the 'parking tickets' but I venture to say no. I would say whichever board member that falls under would appreciate any help on that. We have a board meeting tonight so we will add that to the agenda. It would certainly help to know what this or that is when it isn't labeled. And having members use their skills to benefit the space is ideal, whether we are using them in-house or donating to a needy soul. We seem to have a recent surge in CPU's so this will help.

For example, What are the specs of the MAME cabinet PC?  What are the quality of the speakers hooked up to it?  I know it's marked as an open project for anybody to work on, but I'd like to take a look at the hardware it's running on.  Ideally, I'd like to eventually rip out that bolted on plank of wood and see about getting a proper setup for the joysticks/buttons too.  The angled setup makes it a little difficult to find the center on the sticks currently.

There seems to be a computer setup by the fridge, is that a CCCKC or Hammerspace unit?  What hardware is it running on?

A list would also help me determine if donations of some of my spare hardware would even be useful.  In a perfect world we'd accept any and all hardware, but realistically we only have so much space and I'm sure we'd like to dedicate that to useful, functional hardware.

Cool stuff. Off the top of my head the MAME cabinet is a group project but ultimately belongs to Tom Collins I think. It's essentially in a "deferred maintenance" mode in the aesthetics arena but appears to be working. Tom, Phillip, Richard, and many others have contributed so I am sure they can chime in or talk to you tonight if you are coming.

The computer by the fridge that has an LCD screen TV that I donated for CCCKC use so people are free to use it for whatever they need. It just currently lives attached to the CPU. I've grabbed it when doing rapsberry pi projects, for example.

At any rate I thinking identifying what equipment is what and who it belongs to will prevent any misunderstandings and help us clean. I still like the consolidated list (google doc?) idea if someone has time for that.

Yes.  I would very much like a list to help calm my paranoia of "Am I going to severely agitate someone and/or incur their wrath if I touch this?"

All of the old rackmount servers are legacy hardware.  I don't think I'm speaking out of turn when I offer them for any purpose - space use, canibalizing, and even someone taking them if they want.  If CCCKC itself ever needs new hardware after these are gone, it would behoove us to buy newer hardware anyway.  So it can come from the general fund, or if anyone has a problem with that, some of us will step up to the plate and get us what we need.
