the cascade version we using is 2.0.1.

Runing cascade with 0 flows will cause an indexOutOfBound Exception:

Exception in thread "cascade" java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0
at java.util.LinkedList.entry(LinkedList.java:365)
at java.util.LinkedList.get(LinkedList.java:315)
at cascading.cascade.Cascade.isStopJobsOnExit(Cascade.java:570)
at cascading.cascade.Cascade.registerShutdownHook(Cascade.java:537)
at cascading.cascade.Cascade.run(Cascade.java:476)
at cascading.cascade.Cascade.access$000(Cascade.java:92)
at cascading.cascade.Cascade$1.run(Cascade.java:404)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:662)
