The Committee for the Advancement of Role-Playing Games is an RPG
advocacy group. Not long ago, this googlegroups email list was created
to further communiction inside and outside of CAR-PGa. However, the
fact that you are on this email list does not make you a member of CAR-
PGa. To become a member of CAR-PGa you must fill out a membership form
and send it to the Chair. This can be done via snail mail or
electronically. There are no monetary dues to join the group. You gain
and maintain membership by getting membership points. Filling out the
membership form earns you 1 point. All points expire one year after
they were earned. There are many ways to earn points( doing research
on one of our projects, writing an article for the newsletter,
donating money to the group, etc).
I should also point out that having a CAR-PGa newsletter subscription
is not the same as being a CAR-PGa member nor is it the same as being
on this email list.
I have some questions for those of you who already knew about the
difference between CAR-PGa membership and email list membership and
have not actually joined CAR-PGa:
Was this an intentional decision to not join the group? If so, why?
Was it merely a case of wanting to join but just never getting around
to doing it?
Was it something else? Please explain.
Your help in answering these questions would be much appreciated.
