Meeting from last night

Hi everybody. Greg Foard, Dana Rodgers and I met at the Albion yesterday. We talked about Bill C-9, and what should be done with the pamphlet.

We're planning to meet at the Guelph Farmer's Market on Saturday to distribute copies of the Bill C-9 flyer. Dana and GregF are only available after 9:30 or so. If you could please email the times you're available. I'll print off as many copies as I can; I don't have much paper left though.

We're then following up a suggestion by Angela to do mailbox drops on Sunday. Angela, do you have a recommendation for a neighbourhood to target?

Brian, I've e-mailed Dana to ask her whether or not I can pick her up here
in Elora at 9:00 on Satdy and have us at the Guelph Market by 9:30, but she
hasn't responded so far. I'll keep you posted.

I've printed off 200 copies of the C-9 pamphlet. I plan to be at the market for 8:30am tomorrow.

GregF and Dana: see you at 9:30'ish. I'll be at one of the entrances, likely the one by the railway bridge. I'll have to leave about 10:45 as we're signing our mortgage.

Greg, Angela, Jerry: I really hope you guys will be able to make it.

Thanks to you two for coming out too. I found it fascinating how you two were pulling people aside for conversations.

(I just realized I should have taken a photo of you two.)

I had good feedback from people coming out, and saw very few pamphlets discarded in the nearby garbage, which is a good sign. I made sure to give a pamphlet to Frank Valeriote too.

The next time, I think it would be good to somehow put together a portable notice board, like a poster, with some big text summarizing the issue. Staples does a 2'x3' for $30. I'm not sure how to mount it; but we could maybe jerry-rig something simple.

Hi Folks:
Sorry we weren't able to make it our yesterday. Things have been hectic
and disorganized around our house to say the least.
Greg got a new job. He starts tomorrow. He only had 2 weeks between
when he gave notice at his old job and starting this one. He worked one
week and this past week he (we) had to take vacation as that's going to be
it for the summer. Hence we weren't around alot the past week.
I hope to get out to the next meeting and get caught up on things.

Hi Angela
... Yes, missed you both yesterday morning. Dana and Brian and I were
particularly struck by the courtesy shown us "pamphleteers" by the
passers-by who we engaged in conversation: In addition to being armed with
an excellent pamphlet, there also seems to be a market for this stuff!
