Dad gum it! St. Patrick Day in the works.  OK, how about Friday the 24th, or somewhere from Mon the 20th to the 24th.  I need to know if we just wiped out our telescopists, again.

Brad --------------  I definitely can not do March 24; I'm running an astronomy session for RENESAN that night.  I can do Monday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 22.  Although it will be very challenging, if I have to, I can do Thursday, March 23, but I would really prefer not to, and might have to cancel on you.

Overall, please don't set the date just for me and my calendar.  As far as I am concerned, you should set the date according to the maximum number of telescopes available.  If I'm one of them, great, but if I'm not, maybe I'll have better luck next time.

Thank you, Jim.  I am trying to just get a date Mr. Davis at the school, me and as many as possible of our scope draggers as I can get.  That seems to mean a lot of dancing this year.  I would like to get me and three to have as many varied scopes as possible for the kids.  I kind of need you as one of the three.  There is usually a pretty good turnout at TT.

I should be OK that week.
I never knew St Pat's Day was such a big deal that someone organizes around it :)

John, The teacher has a lot of school functions to work around, I have to get as many scopes as possible, and even I have a few other events.  Fortunately, I seem to be slowly recovering from my killer cold from hell.  I don't feel like cutting off my head and storing it in the garage till it is over, any more.  I guess getting drunk and ralphing bad tacos and green beer is pretty important.

I am sorry that there are all these snafus.
I’d like to say give me a date where you can get scopes/astronomers.
I’ll look right now at my calendar and tell you – as of now – what dates are no-good.

Spring break starts on the 17th of March (officially, there is   no school,  but it’s parent conference day and the following week (20 – 24) is spring break.

Once the PARCCC test starts, we’ll have to consider that schedule.  Teachers encourage kids to go to bed early so they get good nights sleep before the big tests.

Fridays would be fine during that window.
The PARCC window is between April 3 - 21."

OMG, Jeffrey.  PARC testing for first 3 weeks of Apr.?  When the heck do you teach?  I think our calendar just bled to death and ran off down the street (is that possible?).  It looks like I can get 1-3 scopes during the week of 27-31.  I will be on operation Falcon-Virgo 3-9 or 10 of Apr. 14 is full moon and Good Friday.  21 should be ok and the last week, 27-31, as far as I know.
Are we in one of those stupid dating movies where two executives try to find a date in their schedules to get married?

Glad your cold is receding, Brad. Juniper pollen count was on the rise until that little cold snap, maybe that was part of it. It certainly was getting to me.

No problem on the date, I was just poking a little fun.

OK, astronomically oriented intelligencia, can we get together a group during the last week in March?  I don't think I have an issue with any of those days.  I would love to give as many teletube babies as much chance to play as possible.

I don't know what you mean by poking fun...this town is full of McBacas, McSmiths, McSanchez's and McPolanski's.

Brad -------------  For me, it turns out easier on the last week of March than the next to last.  Tuesday, March 28, is not so good.  But I can easily do the other four weekday nights that week.  Thanks.  Standing by for the new TT date.

laughing.   and now, I've heard from my friend who is the SF Public schools Emergency services officer that the principal at another school wants to have a star party.  She is supposed to get in touch with me soon.

Thank you, Jim, John and all.  I tend to feel Mon thru Thurs are school nights and the kids should be studying and getting sleep making Friday the best choice, even though many families may be planning other events for Sat and want to forget school at bus time Friday. Therefore, I lean toward Friday the 31st. The next to the last week of March is spring break.

Brad ------------------  Friday, March 31, is fine by me.  But with New Moon on the 27th, won't the crescent moon on the 31st be too bright and take too long to set?  Just a question.
