LinkThing 2.3.12 still not always using new tabs when asked

I have “General Settings” set to always open off-site links in new tabs.

I have a specific setting for DuckDuckGo.com to open off-site links in new tabs.

Clicking on a search result link does not open in a new tab

Using Safari Version 9.0.2 (11601.3.9) and LinkThing 2.3.12
