Tab Options: Focus on close doesn't work for new link opened

The most important part of this extension is to focus back to last focused tab. However it always fails.

Suppose there are several tabs, and google is not the first tab. If I click a googled result link, and then a new tab will open (and be the current active tab), however if I close this new tab, it will now focus to the first tab instead of the google search page, which is totally inconvenient.

I wonder why this will happen.
