Hello,

I just installed the most recent Public Beta of macOS Sierra on my Mac mini and the Tab Options Safari extension does not work on Safari 10 and cannot be reinstalled either. An installation error is given when trying to reinstall the extension. Is there a fix in the works for this error, or is Tab Options going to not work from now on?

Thanks,
John

It's been working for me in beta Sierra. But I'll try reinstalling it to see if it gives me any problems.

Ok thanks, wonder what it is with my system if it works for you?

Is it still working for you after a reinstall?

Thanks,
John

Sorry, I just got around to trying it now. I found that in fact I could NOT reinstall the extension from the link on my website (which links to the package on Github). There was something wrong with the package. I have rebuilt the package and reuploaded it. It seems to install now.

I installed Mac OS Sierra and launched Safari and it told me the Tab Options extension is being removed because it is no longer valid.

I reinstalled from your website but clicking the file doesn't do anything. Safari asks if it should trust or not and I click "Trust" but it doesn't install.

That's odd. I am on Sierra and am able to install the extension from the link on the website just fine.

Please try the attached copy; see if it works any better for you.

Still seem to be having problems. I installed MacOS Sierra and then migrated my Safari data using the migration tool and a time machine backup. I never got a message saying it was no longer valid, it just stopped showing up in my extensions list.
Your attached file gives the same issue as the one linked on your site.

I found a solution!

Try using the tab key to select "trust" and the space bar to click it. For whatever reason, this works for me.

Are you saying that you could not simply click the Trust button?

I could but by mouse it did not install the extension!
Only the trick with the keyboard keys worked for me to install the extension under macOS Sierra.
Nothing else worked.

How strange. Sounds like a Safari bug.

I use 10.12.4 Public Beta and I am not able to install the extension. The trick with the keyboard does not work too.
