Linux Application Developer C/C++ Programmer 

Location                               : Sunnyvale, CA 

Client need 6 years of Linux Development exp.

Any apps devel. On notebook, mobile, desktop, etc.

 

Linux Application Developer

1.       Strong Linux Application Developer with 6+ yrs of experience – willing to relocate to CA

2.       Strong hands-on experience with C, C++ programming

3.       Must have – Strong Linux experience

4.       Experience in developing applications for Desktop, Notebook, netbook or handheld devices.

5.       Experience in D-Bus.

 

* Embedded & Kernel dev & middle layer programming is good to have – but not a necessity

Description:

This job involves working in the Linux kernel and Networking stack so that it runs on new platforms, as well as optimizing the system for performance, power and responsiveness.  

This entails:

Analyzing gaps in Linux kernel and drivers on specific platforms•     

system performance enhancements working in Linux networking, esp. enabling wifi on latest modules

Creating functional/design documentation where necessary

Working with QA to ensure proper test coverage•  

 

Knowledge and Skills

5+ years of software development experience in Linux on x86 PCs

Excellent in C programming, OS concepts and Linux internals

Ability to understand and modify shell scripts and daemons

Linux networking experience is a strong plus

Linux security experience is a plus

Must be able to write functional/design documentation

Must be able to write and execute unit test plans

Ability to analyze, isolate, describe and prioritize defects in a complex software/hardware environment

Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
