Is there already a way to compare screenshots in calabash-android?

No, not currently.

It is something we are thinking about but not sure how to do right.

I don't think calabash-android supports this yet. I have made my own report where I compare screenshots from two runs with Imagick. Imagick supports comparing images and marks the differences.

I do what Mortgen has mentioned. There are a few ways on how you can increase performance however, as when you take the screenshot, the images are quite big.

1. after taking the screenshot, resize the images to say 50% prior to compare

2. compare the images using a checksum or something ... this is perfect if you just want to know if the images are supposed to be an exact match.
