where can i find nodes?

hey. 

I'm just new in Caffe and deep learning. 

i saw lots of diagram layer has nodes. but i can't understand where is node in caffe. 

is node defined in network prototxt? or somewhere?

i thought it's layer we defined in network prototxt. am i right?

please help.
