I also have a CR Northeast 400 1998, I know how hard it is to have to let her go. I am in Friday Harbor WA.
Speaking of props..I have a 4 blade max prop and think I need to gear it up (smaller bite in the water).
Do you have any rpm vs over the water speed recommendations for a yanmar 100 hp?

Thanks Thierry
I shall continue to lurk on the fringes if you are happy for me to do so!

I'm sorry to hear that, Keith. Briez is a very attractive boat, especially for the climate in northern Europe. I wish you well. Please stay a member of the group. I'm sure at some point we will get questions again on the pros and cons of Autoprops, and you are the resident expert in that area!

Dear All,
Sad to say that family health issues mean that our much-loved NE400 is about to be advertised for sale. We've enjoyed owning 'Briez' and she has looked after us well.
She is a 1998 model - although not fully commissioned until 2000 when we bought her - and is one of the very few on this side of the Atlantic (Guernsey, Channel Islands). She's very well equipped and is in good condition. If anyone is interested, please PM me and I will send you full details. She will be listed publicly at GBP 150k, although for a private sale we'd discount that significantly.
Perhaps it's an opportune moment to say that although I have not been a frequent contributor to this group (and the SailNet precursor), I have enjoyed the comments, insights and general camaraderie that this group engenders. Thank you all for letting me be part of that over the last decade or so. Keep up the good work!
Finally - I'll see if I can successfully attach a picture of Briez. Here goes...
Thank you all and happy sailing.
