Chart plotter and Home port

I have down loaded Home Port to my PC and opened an account but can't break the code to get a detailed chart or plot a course on the program.  What am I doing wrong?

I have that and I had to have the garmin maps loaded as well in the PC.

I would then call Garmin for support if they offer that for the product anymore.
