Yep - everyone who attends BrisFunc should be on there, just ask me to add you if you're not.
Last night we worked on writing a solver for the 2x2x2 rubik's cube. We chose a system for representing the cube, and for representing moves which permute the cube, so any scramble/unscramble can be expressed as a composition of those moves applied to an initial state. We ran out of time at this point (having spent a lot of time discussing various alternative approaches which I personally found really interesting) - so we'd be ready next time to explore how to generate sequences of moves to solve a scrambled cube (efficiently?) We could also think about how to generalise our solution to cubes of other sizes.
Next BF will be on the final Tuesday of June - the 25th.
