audio stops when changing app

Sorry if this is obvious - I'm new to Ipad.

Why does borderlands stop making audio when I change to another app?

I'm using an Ipad 2 - iOS 9.2

Sorry for the delayed reply! Background audio needs to be enabled. To do this:

* Open the settings menu (gear icon in the main menu - accessible using the button in the upper right corner of the app)
