external speaker connection

I'm a new and rudimentary user of borderlands so please excuse my naivety.
I am wanting to play the sounds that are being made, recorded and manipulated live in borderlands via a bluetooth connection to an external speaker. I can't seem to make this happen. Is this a iPad settings thing or limitation with the app?
