but I remember that the main website
only touts its iPad app and there didn't seem to be
any mention or link for a desktop version.

No there is no compiled version the desktop software is not officially a thing so if you want it you have to figure out how to compile it. I had compiled a earlier version and then after the upgrade I just could never make it work again so I gave up...as shortly after the ios version came out and even though it runs on a disabled OS platform and has its issues I dont need to spend time figuring out what it wont compile on os x... even though I would love a os x version
