Coming support for multicore RaspberryPi?

With the leaked news of the RaspberryPi 2 B will there be code improvement for multi-threading to hopefully remove the need for an overclock?

Depends where the bottle neck is, but any capture client already runs in its own process, boblightd has a thread for reading tcp data, and another thread per output device, so there is lots of multithreading present already.
