Hi,

I want to try spear with my database. However, all the raw data inside my database are in .dat file extension. Does spear supports it?

Regards,
Reng Xian

Hello,

All formats supported by SoX at compilation time are (indirectly) supported by Bob, for as long as you import "bob.io.audio" before using "bob.io.base.load()".

Other than that, you can extend the support by providing a C++ plugin for it.

Best, Andre

Hi Reng,

Besides formats supported by SoX, as long as you can load your audio in Python as an array, you can use your data with bob.bio.spear.

Please see the "Note" in blue in here: https://www.idiap.ch/software/bob/docs/bob/bob.bio.base/master/implementation.html#defining-your-own-database
especially: https://gitlab.idiap.ch/bob/bob.bio.spear/blob/master/bob/bio/spear/config/database/timit.py

Best,
Amir
