problem to complete buildout for bob.palmvein

i have 2 questions to ask you about bob.palmvein:

1. i am having a problem to complete the buildout. the error as below

it seems like problem with the link given. is there any other latest package working?

2. i am planning to do palmprint recognition (not palmvein) using bob and i-vector. can i ask your opinion is it possible to use i-vector for palmprint recognition. if possible, i believe that i-vector needs large database but how large is it? i understand that no magic number to set how many data. i just want to show that at least i-vector gives good result compared to traditional gmm, isv and jfa.

previously i had experimented my frog sound database on gmm,isv,jfa and i-vector.so i want to prove for image database (my palmprint database)

It seems that you are using an (outdated) package that has not been updated yet. We have moved all our packages from GitHub to `gitlab.idiap.ch`.

However, when looking for `bob.palmvein` and/or `bob.db.verafinger`, I cannot find them even in `gitlab.idiap.ch`. Unfortunately, I am not working for Idiap anymore, so I don't have full access to their GitLab page.

Maybe someone else at Idiap has more insight, also in the usage of GMM-based algorithms?

This package has been archived because we don't have maintainers for it.

bob.db.verafinger is a private package for the time being but we're likely to release it soon - please keep posted.
