Questions about enRoute authentication and authorisation

Hi!

I suppose my questions are mostly aimed at Peter. :-)

I am now interested in using the authentication and authorisation services in enRoute, but I am having a bit of trouble figuring out how to use them.

Are there any examples or documentation that I may have missed?

Of course, I have looked at the APIs and the implementations, as well as the documentation on the enRoute website, but it is not yet clicking for me what I need to do. A nudge in the right direction would be very nice.

For now, I am only interested in basic HTTP authentication. I will handle this manually in the immediate term.

In the coming weeks, I want to figure out, among other things:

* How to integrate Apache Shiro (not yet sure, but I thought I’d give it a try)
* How to integrate OAuth

This is one of those things that I only look into like once every 2 years or so, so I always forget everything and have to relearn again from scratch. Sigh. :-)

Thanks, Peter, much appreciated. I don’t know the politics of it, but am sorry to hear that you are not available more to continue this great work.


Perhaps just one simple question: do you (or does anybody else) know of a working app that I could study that uses the authenticator and authoriser?

I used a predecessor inside JPM and the enRoute for 2 customers but that is proprietary code.
