Placement & Existence of the Green Poles in the back garden that are to be used for clothes drying

We would like to start a discussion concerning the placement of the 5 metal posts in the center of the grassy area in the back garden.  These posts are meant to be used for drying clothes.  There has been some discussion as to whether these posts should remain in this location, be removed to another location or removed entirely.  Please post your comments here.
