Gang …
Does anyone know where and/or why an undefined FTP daemon appears in my TCPIP partition?
Notice that last line indicates 2 defined daemons (I do define FTPONE and FTPTWO explicitly).
There is a third FTPISR somehow in there that was never defined. Anyone venture a guess?
BTW, the multiple connections from “.12” are being investigated but can’t see how they’d start a daemon.

FTPDASMN generates a pseudo server that runs the show as an Internal SeRver (ISR) once a listen is posted. If running under FTPBATCH, it will be called FTPBSR. (I thought that there was an “VR” at the end of those names, but I guess I’m mistaken).
Anyhow, it is nothing to worry about.
Thanks Leo. I guess I’m seeing it because all of the stalled connections. There are a bunch of dumps happening that are probably linked to the problem. New service was put on since this began happening so I’ll need to look at that.
Looks as if sending an e-mail (from batch) is causing a PDUMP to be issued within the partition. This is after the IBM RSL was put on. Time for some digging.
I think I found the fix. Thanks.

If the pdump is of data and not due to an abend/cancel, check the fix page on the web site. There was a diagnostic accidentally left in that required a fix to be generated to stop it.

Fix applied and the dumps have stopped. Thanks again Leo.
