Michael,

From what I understand of Canadian Immigration rules, the selected
person must be Canadian. I was recently castigated for arriving in
Canada to help a relative paint their living room as this 'would take a
job away from a Canadian'.

Perhaps you could clarify if non-Canadians could apply for this job.
