Multiprise 3000 H70 Console and CKD definitions

Hi all.

We are trying to implement MP 3000 H70 model, and we're not experienced with emulated devices (DEVMAP) definitions and link the IOCP.

First. can't access to the emulated console (3270 emulation) when perform IPL from VSE installation tape, Just the Integrated console. I option at IPL.

Second. Need help to define for example 4 3380 and 10 3390.
Already defined the but They were not recognized at IPL from VSE installation can
anybody give us a hand, examples? we're not clear with DEVMAP-IOCP link or relationship.

I have the complete MP3000 manual set in softcopy somewhere. Let me look
for it.

Also, there are two types of drives on the MP3000. Emulated and real.
The emulated are the ones managed by OS/2. The real ones are SSA(?) and
are handled by s/370 software. Don't use the emulated ones if you can
avoid it. Just use the real s/370 drives.

Hi.

We're having problems trying to configure the internal disk on MP3K.
Already initialized with ICKDFS 2 3380's and restored VSE/ESA DOSRES & SYSWK1, disks on ADDRESS = 122 & 121.
And I was able to perform IPL from DOSRES, those were defined as emulated disk on DEVMAP.
I want to define REAL disk (Internal 3390 disks). into the IOCP, we build it, but I was not able to initialize all the 3390's , just the address = 300.
when I try to do it I got the Unit address invalid in the ICKDSF. Attached you will find the IOCP we're using.

Please help me , we have no more time, to process the customer jobs. the situation is dramatic because the old 2105 shark already die. and we cannot use the old S390.

Concerning the MP3000 S/390 processor. These two manuals may be helpful,
but always remember if you define it in the DEVMAP you must define it in the
IOCDS.
