Subject: [DIYbio] More meetings, gatherings, convergences, camps.... Biohack Retreat Klöntal 2017 - Switzerland
hoied mitenand,
it was a pleasure to spend the last few days with many of you. i am feeling honoured to have been part of these founding and pre-defining discussion on more collaborative nordic bio(art)lab networks.
as i mentioned earlier, we had the great opportunity to co-organize another gathering in Switzerland coming up very very soon.
Biohack Retreat Klöntal 2017 - Switzerland is a collaboration with local curator and artist, Maya Minder, and the larger framework of the Klöntal Triennale, recently joined the team myself and extending the idea to a more global gathering with the extended networks of hackteria.
watch our movie, and you see how many common visions and topics we are trying to combine:
Through a special matching funds hack "
Science Booster" we can now thrink of how to help each other getting people over to Vilnius, and or have additional participants from our newly formed "nordic biolab network".
although our first meeting was mostly amongst other organizers, curators, lecturers, i guess we all represent a node in a more wider local community of practitioners in this hybrid field that we won't give any name.
it would be a great opportunity if you can ask around, who and how, we could have more people from our new extended network joining us in switzerland. as you maybe know, these kinda
hackteria style camps, labs, gatherings have always been a very fertile ground for young and emerging artists, being free to experiment with working on/along/through living media, nature, environments and hacking labs.
because of this hackable crowdfunding, we can make a kinda deal to channel cash over this platform, so we get the matching funds and be able to support travel, accommodation and whatever is needed. But we need your help and support beforehand.
hope we can make something happen soon!
marc & maya
