We are saddened to hear that David Collins has passed after a long illness. David was manager of the Bio-Link Equipment Depot a real friend BioCurious. He shared our mission of increasing access to the tools of science and actively made sure that our, and many other local labs, got what they needed to do good work.
Please join me in supporting the memory of David and his family by contributing to his memorial fund if you are able, or by sharing the sentiment with others.
I want to thank Duane for sharing the site and reminding us how we can and should support one another.

Hi All,
You may have heard of David Collins' recent passing. A Memorial Fund has been set up in his name to help the family with funeral costs and other expenses in this time of need:
https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/wxq8/the-david-collins-memorial-fund
Few people realize the very significant role David played, as the manager of the Bio-Link Equipment Depot, in obtaining for us the immense amount of consumable supplies and equipment that we still use every day. David had, (as all Bio-Link Equipment Depot employees have), a devotion to "Citizen Science."
Additionally, David didn't stand on formalities: when BioCurious did not have Non-Profit Status, David still supplied us with equipment and supplies.
Currently, almost nothing has been donated to David Collins' Memorial Fund by Citizen Scientists--probably because the fund hasn't been publicized enough.
It would be a great if each organization, (CCL, BioCurious, Etc.), could post (email) the Memorial Fund link and the short explanatory statements from above on their membership Google groups pages.
Any amount donated ($5.00, $10.00, etc.) would be appreciated.
