Hi All,
I am excited to announce we are officially starting to form the 2015 iGEM* team.
After talking to each of the local labs we've decided to share resources and form another joint team.
If you haven't heard last year's team was a joint venture between BioCurious and Counter Culture Labs, Real Vegan Cheese. They won a Gold Medal and Best Community Lab Project. The praise and continued press coverage for Real Vegan Cheese gives us a lot to live up to and I am excited to help lead the way.
To join us please fill out this form:
We will be having meetings at each:
- BioCurious in Sunnyvale
- Berkeley Bio Labs in Berkeley
- Counter Culture Labs in Oakland
The lab work will be split between the three labs and we will rotate where the official meeting is, using web-conferencing to allow all the labs to attend each meeting and collaborate.
The two immediate issues are submitting our registration form and fee. The 2015 fee is $4,000 and we must register and pay before March 31, 2015 to avoid a $500 USD late fee. We will need to have a discussion and decision how to fund this project.
I have already started gathering project ideas but I can't wait to see what out of the box thinking everyone can come up with.
Please fill out the form and I will let people know when the first meetings will be scheduled.
I am very excited to see what project we will tackle this year!
