Subject: Free Learn To Ride Event
Come one, come all!
Our next Learn To Ride event is planned for Sat, Jan 16th from 11AM-1PM and we’re going to take Mother Nature out of the picture as much as we can by holding it indoors. We have access to a building with large, open interior space…and heat if winter decides to stay.
We welcome your support by volunteering to help with the event and/or by getting the word out to parents and their kids. Go to this link for all the details: http://bicyclesport.com/2016/01/learn-to-ride-2/. The Trips For Kids Charlotte truck will be outside as a landmark. All parents need is a child, a helmet, a bike and the desire to have fun!
Please call or email me if you have questions or want to let me know you can help. We’ll be setting up starting at 10AM. Volunteers will check and fit helmets, check and fit bikes, take training wheels and pedals off bikes, help fill tires and work one-on-one with kids/parents to introduce them to the balance bike technique. Our goal is to have every child and parent learn that technique and ideally have the child riding with pedals and no training wheels by the time they leave! And it’s fun!
