Subject: FW: It's Time to Sign-Up Your Business For Race to the Beach 2014!!

Hello!

The 2014 Race to the Beach Clean Commute Challenge is right around the corner!  The challenge officially starts on June 2 and runs through August 29.  We are excited about the changes for this year's campaign. As a quick summary, here are a few notable changes:

·         Race to the Beach 2014 is open to the public!  Friends, families, neighbors, etc. of your coworkers that do not work for a Business Coalition employer can participate by clean commuting to work this year and become eligible for our great prizes.

·         You and your coworkers can race against Clean Commute Characters - representatives of many of the clean commute modes, and follow their blogs.  The Clean Commute Characters will provide interesting and fun information to participants about how to get over some of the hurdles to clean commuting.

·         You only have to log 13 clean commutes over the 13-week challenge (average 1 per week) to be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing - a beautiful Beach Stay at the Blockage Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, NC!

·         All Business Coalition participants will have TWO chances to win the Grand Prize if they complete the 13 clean commutes - one chance in the public drawing and one chance in the Business Coalition-only drawing!

I am asking each of you to sign-up your business/organization for this year's clean commute challenge.  I have included an information sheet about Race to the Beach 2014, a "How to Race" document explaining the rules in more depth, and a Business Sign-up Form.  Please return the completed Business Sign-up form to me by Wednesday, May 14.  Our website will go live that day and I'd like to have all of the participating businesses in the employer menu by then.  If your business/organization participated in Race to the Beach last year and your logo has not changed, you may skip that step.

There's still time to recruit other businesses to participate, so feel free to contact me about other businesses that may be interested.

NEXT STEPS:

·         Return the completed Business Sign-Up form by Wednesday, May 14

·         Schedule a time for Air Awareness to visit your business to provide information/cheerleading/promotion of the Race (spots are filling fast - act now!)

·         Get ready to have fun Clean Commuting!!

I look forward to you and your company's participation this year.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Happy Racing!

Kelly
