Version 2.0.7 of the BigQuery Command Line tool has been released to http://code.google.com/p/google-bigquery-tools/.

This is mostly a bug fix release. Changes include:
  • --format=csv now supports UTF-8 output.
  • Improved error messages when the client encounters network connectivity related issues.
  • The discovery document for v2 is now packaged with the client, reducing network round trips.
  • Better inline schema vs filename detection.
  • A couple minor bugs and readme fixes.
Clients programming directly against bigquery_client will also observe:
  • Default bigquery_client operations to sync to match expected behavior (bq defaults to sync).
To upgrade your current version (if you used easy_install to install it):

easy_install -U bigquery

More detailed installation instructions can be found in our README.

Thank you,

The BigQuery Team
