Greetings.
I am trying to run HTML5 but seem node.js does not get correct meeting info.
I created a meeting from demo api and join it. It working very well. But after I load node.js server. Seems that node.js does not get correct information from BBB and it shows empty in meetingID field.

Is there any place I can look regarding meetingID field fail?
Also which log I can refer to regarding HTML5?
Thanks!

Hi, did you make sure to build a the 'bigbluebutton-web' and
'bigbluebutton-apps' components off the "html5-bridge" git branch, and
deploy them? You need to use the versions from that branch in order to
get the meetings populated into Redis.

Hi Ray,

Just adding to what Calvin said...

You can check in redis the keys that are created, for example for see if the meeting was created in redis, under the key "meetings" should be a value with the meeting that you created...

Right now, the HTML5 Client is working as a prototype, so it's recommended to flush redis db and perform a clean restart of bigbluebutton, when you want to test...

Calvin and Markos,

Thanks for your good feedback. I will first try to deploy apps first(I think that would where the problem).

BTW, I think it would be better to explicitly describe to run "bbb-conf --setup-dev client bbb-conf --setup-dev web bbb-conf --setup-dev apps" to make HTML5 work.  I did not notice "At a minimum, you must build and deploy or run the Client, BBB-Web, and Red5 Applications components. " mean all this.

Under initial setup for running the HTML5 client it says you must build and deploy client, apps, and web. It's the very last bullet point here, http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/HTML5DevEnvironmentSetup#Initial_setup.

I've been getting the very same problem here. Followed all the instructions, built & deployed client, apps and web. Still an empty drop down box :\.

Is there anybody who has fixed this issue? Cause I also encounter the same problem. Thanks.

Hi Ray,

Please make sure you have bbb-client, bbb-web, and bbb-apps working:

Compile BBB-CLient following the instructions in https://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/081DevelopingBigBlueButton#Client_Development

Compile BBB-WEb following the instructions https://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/081DevelopingBigBlueButton#Developing_BBB-Web

Compile BBB-Apps following the instructions https://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/081DevelopingBigBlueButton#Developing_the_Red5_Applications

Hope it will help.

Cheers..

Gary
