Hi,

I've just downloaded the bbb-android app. It's not creating a
connection to a bigbluebutton server i set up locally.
What do i do next?

Regards!

Hi Amrita,

See:

If it doesn't solve your problem, please write back.

Hey Felipe!

I had already followed the instruction in the link you sent. I'm
working with Eclipse and have tried running bbb-android as an Android
application.
I'm working in Windows though, with my created server in Ubuntu on a
virtual machine (bridged connection). When running the app in the
emulator I enter the ip of the server and it shows an error when
attempting to load the created meetings.

Also when connecting to the demo meetings, an error pops saying i
can't join the meeting!

is anyone working on the whiteboard part of the mobile app?

Hi Amrita,

Could you please check if the BigBlueButton address is correct and complete, I mean, http://<IP>?
Also, if you are running the app on Eclipse, you should be able to see log messages on LogCat, this way it's easier to figure out why you can't join the meeting.

Hi Barry,

We have a prototype of the presentation module for the mobile app, but nothing on the whiteboard module - I don't know if there's someone else developing the app.

Hey Felipe,

I checked LogCat and it shows "error in creating client
connection:connection time out" when attempting to connect to a demo
meeting on the demo server <http://demo.bigbluebutton.org> All it does
is move to the screen that shows an empty list of participants and
listeners

It's also not connecting to the local server <http://ip> with the same
pop up.. Can't join meeting

In the presentation module you are developing, have you added the draw/annotate feature?

Hi Amrita,

I just found a problem in the app when the user doesn't use the right mobile security key for a given server. See: http://code.google.com/p/mconf/issues/detail?id=295

The default key for BigBlueButton 0.8* is 03b07. Please try to use this key and let me know if it works.

Hi Barry,

As I said, there's no whiteboard features, it's a development version with the slides presentation only.

Hey Felipe!

It's connecting to the demo server, http://demo.bigbluebutton.org
When connected it opens up a screen with a list of participants and
listeners where I can see only the chat option
Where are the other modules like video streaming and uploading
presentations?

Hi Amrita,

As I said in another post on this thread, there's still no presentation module on the Android client.
To stream your own video, you just click "Menu - Start video". To access a stream of another participant, you have to long click on his name and then select the "Show video" option.
