My 2005 393 appears to have a clogged vent on the forward head. When I try to pump the head out, it doesn't pump. I've had this problem before on my aft head and was able to fix it by accessing the holding tank and undoing the vent line above the holding tank to clean it out. Only problem with the forward head is I don't know where the holding tank is and if I'll be able to get to the vent line once I locate the tank. Can anyone help?

Shoot a hose down the vent from outside the boat, it's just dried shit. It will clear.

Tnx guys. I forgot to mention I already tried that. A lot of stuff washed out but did.not clear the clog. Do you know exactly where the holding tank is and/or where I can access the vent line itself?

Larry,

Locate the outside vent for the holding tank there's one for each. Beneteau uses the same vent design fitting for water tanks as well as holding tanks. I'm sure at some point you have overfilled the holding tank and toilet paper is against a screen that is inside that vent.

Take a coat hanger and fish it into the van and break the screen material so that it can breathe correctly and it's just wire mash and you can poke holes in it very easily to remove the screen.   The screen is no bigger than a dime.

Thanks Jeff. I'll give that a try. We don't ever put toilet paper down the head but  it could be something else.

5intre timp noi actiuni revolutionare erau inregistrate in Bucovina si in Transilvania. in martie 1848 la Cernauti se organizau garzi nationale si lua fiinta un Comitet de actiune in randul caruia activau fratii Hurmuzaki. in Transilvania situatia era mult mai complicata. Revolutia maghiara in frunte cu Lajos Kossuth urmarea reconstituirea regatului medieval al . Ungariei in care sa existe o natiune unica si un stat indivizibil . inca din martie in Transilvania se constituiau de catre maghiari garzi nationale indreptate impotriva miscarilor taranesti ale romanilor in general romanii si Transilvania erau exclusi de la rezolvarea problemei agrare un obiectiv prioritar al revolutiei maghiare.

Hello,

I do not know if it is possible to do that in your boat. This season in my Oceanis 40 I had a problem with the holding tank in the AFT cabin. The problem was in the discharge. I was able to get a water pipe that went through the vent hole on the hull. Then holding that pipe firmly for it not to come out, someone opened the water and the pressure did the rest!

Thank you Luis. I will see if I can find a small flexible line that will fit into the vent opening.

So, was able to clear the forward head vent on my 393 by directing a bunch of water into the outside vent hole. In order to assure the vent was clear I removed the panel directly behind the head to reveal the holding tank. The vent line sits right above the tank. I removed the vent line from the tank and sprayed water into the outside vent until it flowed freely through the line. My wife was in the head yelling, Stop!! That's how I knew the line was clear. Anyway, thanks to all for your suggestions. I pumped out the head this morning and it worked like a charm.
