Asking for suggestions from fellow Beneteau owners, (preferably of 20+ year old hulls)  to suggest a surveyor located in the florida treasure coast area (Stuart to Melbourne). Looking for someone who primarily surveys older cruising yachts - production boats.

two of the more recognized marine surveyors are   SAMS-society of American Marine Surveyors  and NAMS national association of Marine surveyors...   they professional certifications recognized by marine lenders and insurers

go their respective web sites, organized by state, indicate their specialties,   many surveyors have both

if getting survey for a lender or insurer,    before ordering a survey,  verify your choice is acceptable to them, many require a surveyor be certified ,   they may indicate their preference or not accept an unknown uncertified surveyor

it may save the cost of ordering a second survey...

after which you can ask the list their experience with your choice
