While it is clearly not the case (situation did not change at all - LCD is pitch black).

if you will note that the LCD7 is not in green and marked approved. on the notes side it lists "initialization issues unresolved"

I'm just commenting the fact that LCD7 line has a blue color now, and has "YES" in the software support column.
I'm Using 5.27 image. And it does NOT boot (when LCD7 is connected).
Thus, I'm just commenting the conflict between "software support = yes" and "software not running at all".

These are the last lines before BBB hangs (presence of LPC7 in slot #0 does block the load of HDMI driver - which is normal, but why EMMC is not loading either)?

"software support = yes " means the software supporting the device is included in the image, it does not mean that it is functional. when it is 100% functional it will be listed as "APPROVED" and be listed in Green.

if you would like to start a separate post with your issues with the LCD7 cape we can address them there....

How does one get a cape on this list?  I've been working with SparkFun to build the CryptoCape [1], which I think will be ready in just over a month.  Do I need to provide the EEPROM file or just send a cape to someone at BeagleBoard.org to test it out?
