TCFA California Chapter is very glad to host the third Advanced Financial Study/Practice Seminar (Quarterly) in 2010 with a talk on index investment in China. Mr. Kevin Carter, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Strategist of AlphaShares, LLC, will discuss his investment strategy and the opportunities and risks of index investing in China. This event will be taking place on the evening of Oct 7th at downtown of San Francisco. Please click here for registration.
 

It is the first time that TCFA CA invites US-based professional investors to cover this very critical topic that are meaningful to many foreign investors who are seeking China exposure. The rich field experience of Mr. Carter will help attendees to gain good understanding of pros and cons of index investing funds compared to actively managed funds and whether this type of investment strategy makes sense for the average investor who look for engaging with China economic development actively.

  

The seminar program intends to bring up rigorous thoughts on issues related with China's economy, capital market and financial service industry.  It serves as core activity the Chapter try to provide local members to facilitate their development in professional career and personal network.
